Galway City Museum

Galway Museum is located at Spanish Arch overlooking the Atlantic seaboard, and houses a variety of artefacts with maritime and other historic connections. Its display areas are urgently in need of refurbishment to meet efficient energy and climate control goals. The project involves an extension and the refurbishment of its adjacent Protected Structure, Comerford House. OBFA are leading a design to increase exhibition areas, improve energy efficiency, and open the museum’s entrance to the public realm at Spanish Arch.
