Benildus College

St. Benildus College is a large boy’s secondary school in South Dublin. The complex of different buildings across the campus date from the early 1960’s. OBFA have undertaken multiple modernisation and refurbishment exercises at the school of which the Science Labs is one.

The designed purpose of the project was to engender interest in STEM subjects and to bring the laboratory environment overtly into the school. This was achieved by opening up the labs to additional natural daylight and ventilation and by refurbishing the legacy finishes and fixtures to delivery a modern junior and senior cycle teaching and learning environment. The project was successfully delivered on budget and programme and remains a popular and engaging teaching section of the school.
